afternoon stroll

I had some work to do at a local caravan park where I act as Bookkeeper so only had time to drop into Bradney for a short stroll. My leg is slowly getting better. Slow ambles are the order of the day at the moment.

Met an elderly couple from my village. They had just got a new dog from a rescue centre. 8 year old spaniel bitch. Pluto of course tried to mount her. Dogs do express themselves in the most basic of ways.

Back to the couple. I have talked to them many times over the last 15 years or so. they always walked other dogs past my front gate as I was going to work so we would often have a chat. Both are looking thin. But they always look so happy together. holding hands as they walk. To my shame I have forgotten their names.

Weather stayed dry for our walk but started clouding over as we finished.
