Me looking pensive.
We had two short walks today. First down the Huntspill. Pluto found some new friends to play with and I met some nice people to talk to.
There was a lot of traffic on the road back so we turned off for Bradney. A woman arrived just as we did with three small dogs. No leads in sight. I had a vision of what would happen if I let Pluto off his so I took him across the road and we walked to where a lot of the river-side undergrowth had been cut back. The drain has always been second to the Huntspill as a major fishing course. mainly because of poor access to the rivers edge. they finally appear to be addressing it. not that it makes me happy. Better facilities means more Anglers which means more conflict with dog walkers.
There has been talk of fishing being next on the labour parties list of things to control by banning. The Anglers argument that fish do not feel pain does not really hold water. They must feel it and if they had vocal cords I'm sure they would let us know. The fact that something isn't vocal in its complaints doesn't make it right.
But then I am a dog walker and wouldn't complain if greater restrictions, like keeping it to the hours of darkness, were introduced.
Pluto back in my car.
