As I was up.

We went out for an 8am walk. First impressions are that it was cold. Lovely views. You can just make out the Quantock hills. Poets used to love this part of England. William Wordsworth, who spent much of his life amongst the lakes and mountains of the north of England was a frequent visitor. He would stay with his friend Samuel Taylor Coleridge who wrote most of his epic poem The Tale of The Ancient Mariner in his cottage on the Quantock hills.

The lock gates were open this morning and the water was flowing fast. The current was bringing down lots of green weeds from inland. There are times when I am glad Pluto doesn't swim.

Had the place to ourselves until part way through our return leg. Mollie, the fiesty Boxer, came along with her owner and a child in a pushchair. I decided to keep Pluto on his lead. He was very well behaved until the last few seconds then he decided he wanted to go with them. He stayed with me in the end.

Took a pic of myself this morning.

Not feeling too good myself this morning. Hope I haven't caught a chill. Feeling hot. and tired.
