October is the months for storms and rain here. we had a cracker of one last week. other than that one it has been fairly quiet weather-wise. a short cloud burst yesterday but dry otherwise if a little dull and grey at times. due to our falling asleep after lunch yesterday afternoons walk was back at Bradney. A good forty mins off the lead for Pluto. There are numerous places he can get down to the waters edge and paddle. I don't think it will be long before he takes the plunge. I decided to read up on the main provisions of the Obama care that has the US in a muddle. It seems perfectly reasonable to me. though how there can be a system where you get better treatment the more you pay escapes me. does the surgeon stop half-way through an operation if the plan runs out of money? we have private medical insurance in this country. It is mainly a means of the wealthy jumping queues. a lot of the treatment still takes place in NHS hospitals. You do get a private room but sometimes they can be lonely.
