turned out wet again.

a grey morning. the Quantock hills were visible in the distance then disappeared, merging into the low grey cloud. A fine, misty drizzle covered everything, me included. It was not actually raining but I was getting wet. Just when I was about to give up and turn back the Sun broke through. What a transformation. Suddenly everywhere was light and bright. We finished the full fifty minute walk.

We met a lady with a child in a pushchair and Boxer bitch. One fiesty lady, the Boxer. She did the usual sniffing they proceeded to growl menacingly. It was all show, her owner assured me. We knew that as we have met them before.

Just before we returned to where my car was parked we met June and Odi. I have mentioned her before. A nice lady with a white, husky like dog. She had another dog on a lead and had a friend whom she introduced as Ness, short for Vanessa. She also had two dogs. After the mutual sniffing, by the dogs, we talked for a few minutes.

My friend in Winchester allowed me to send her an email last night. I must have said something wrong in it as she didn't reply.
