wind and rain again

It looked nice and bright as we started out. Decided I didn't need a top coat.

We strode out. there were a few spots in the wind but nothing to deter us. We met a man with a large, overweight, Alsation. He talked about weather and top coats then about the fits his dog was getting. They had just upped the dosage of her medicine. Treating the symptoms not looking to cure.

We walked on. I discussed this with Pluto. The business man in me knew the answer before I asked him the question. Financially it is not in the interests of any pharmaceutical company to actually cure something. I thought of my friend with Huntington's. All the research I have read recently was about control and alleviating symptoms. Few about finding a cure. Somebody with Huntington's can live 10 - 30 years. That's a lot of income to the pharmaceutical companies. Much more then they would get if they put a drug on the market that could actually cure it. If the will was there from Governments, S in the World Health Organisation please note, this currently incurable condition could be cured.

Pluto sat quietly by my side as we sheltered beneath the branches of a willow.

I was a little windswept when I returned to my car.
