This mornings walk was uneventful until we met two dogs and their owners. A nice couple. It was then I realised I had left Pluto's lead in the car. They were playing alright so we left then for a while but the couple wanted to go so I had to take Pluto by his collar until they were out of sight.
we completed our walk with Pluto walking beside me like a pro' He is coming on leaps and bounds, which also describes his movements when he is playing.
Have my eldest and her two children visiting this afternoon and staying for tea.
As has become the ritual I took the youngest Sophie with me. I asked the eldest, Megan, if she wanted to come but she said she would stay in case her grandmother needed her, not lifting her face from the page of the One D magazine she was reading.
I stopped off on the way to the Huntspill to post a letter and bought Sophie a magazine with a pen and notebook on the front so she could make notes. We saw the Heron again on a piece of wood by the rivers edge. He was resting with his neck folded back not in the outstretched fishing manner of our last acquaintance. We stood and watched for a few minutes but he didn't move.
Then we could hear some barking from the far side of the banking made from the soil dug out of the river during its building. We investigated. Pluto had found two other dogs to play with, Harvey and Amber. He was particularly interested in Amber.
After some free time I got him on his lead.
I am not certain I have done the right thing in contacting my old friend in France. She was quite active on the web at one stage but has been deleting accounts and profiles until there is hardly anything left to show she existed. perhaps she doesn't want to be contacted and i have done the wrong thing. It is a pity because I liked her a lot and would have loved to know that she is well and happy.
